Artisanne Noir: What is Unique About the Collection?

Our brand new Artisanne Noir range has launched and we're so very excited to finally share it with you all! We've already received tons of questions about the range on Instagram, Facebook and via email alike, so we'd like to take the time out to answer some of the most common queries. Kicking it all off: what is unique about the collection?

There are four different prints in the collection - Mandala, Paisley, Bohemia and Lotus - which are all designed to be mixed, matched and layered together to create a beautiful tablescape. But you don't have to start big; the beauty of the range is that it can be incorporated with our existing tableware or any other tableware you might already own, meaning you don't have to invest in the full table service to appreciate its beauty and versatility. Here's a great example where we've mixed the range with our India Collection - notice how the serving platters (an entirely new shape for us!) and bowls complement the India Collection mugs and plates really well!

The patterns just continue, meaning you could layer two pieces of the same print or two pieces with opposing prints and still create intrigue at your table, all the while looking cohesive. We love the idea of layering prints together to WOW your guests - you could layer a Lotus bowl on top of a Paisley salad plate, for example, and, in the same breath, layer our Bohemia salad and dinner plate together - both looks would sit wonderfully at the same dinner table whilst simultaneously looking totally unique as individual place settings.

As a brand, we love print, pattern, colour and texture - and whilst you might've noticed how much we tend to major on colour, this time around we've really harnessed the element of texture in this collection as the pieces have an extremely tactile and hand-crafted quality about it - there's an uneven and organic feel to it which is hard to appreciate from pictures alone!
